For all the video game consoles installed in American living rooms, nothing can replace a Dad and his boy in the front yard playing catch and no electronic beep carries the richness of a well-thrown ball smacking the leather of a catcher’s mitt.

Baseball Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson is regarded as one of the greatest baseball players of all time. In 1936 he was one of the first five inductees to be inducted into the Vintage baseball cards Hall of Fame. Mathewson passed away in 1925 at the age of 45. Therefore, authentically signed items are hard to come by.

No matter what the price, true or not, there a still a lot of people collect the sports cards for various reason. These people collect in different ways and concentrate on different areas of collecting.

They will enjoy writing letters and sharing ideas and experiences during the summer. My son and his friend who lives out of town both like baseball memorabilia. They write letters and exchange cards in the mail. He loves to write and receive the letters as well.

After this step, the sweetened liquid moves to a cooler where the temperature is dropped to slightly solidify the gum and is prepared for the extruder machine. Take this concept outside too. For the Fall season, place a small painted old wooden chair on your front porch. Place fall leaves on the seat and then pile it high with a mound of gourds showing the leaves poking out from underneath around the edges of the seat of the chair. Wrap some craft store fall colored berry garland around the tall back of the chair and weave through the gourds piled on the seat.
