Fresnillo is expecting to see double digit percentage growth for its silver production this year, MarketWatch reported. The silver miner has received approval for two expansion projects.
As quoted in the publication:
Fresnillo, the world’s largest primary silver producer and Mexico’s second-largest gold producer, didn’t say how much silver it planned to produce this year but the miner previously forecast it would produce up to 51,000 ounces of attributable silver this year, including 4 million ounces from the Silverstream supply contract, up 9% from 46,977 silver ounces produced last year.
