Brixton Metals Corporation (TSXV:BBB) announced that it has acquired 100% control over the past producing Hudson Bay silver mine in the Cobalt mining camp of Ontario. Brixton acquired the remaining interest in the Hudson Bay property through the issuance of 27,300 common shares and a cash payment of $1,000. The price of silver per ounce has been on a tear in recent weeks, and no doubt, that has many investors wondering just how high silver can go. Silver prices hit an 11-month high in April, considerably outperforming the gold price. According to Commerzbank, the silver price per ounce has benefited from a weaker US dollar, strong ETF inflows and purchases from speculative investors. Last week, the S&P/TSX Composite index (INDEXTSI:OSPTX) gained 2.31 percent, or 313.85 points, to reach 13,873.98. The United States Mint released the highly anticipated 2016 Mercury Dime Centennial Gold Coin on Thursday, April 21st and unsurprisingly it sold out in 45 minutes. The coin, which had a mintage of 125,000 and is 1/10th ounce pure gold, was priced at $205 and had an order limit of 10 coins per household.
