Cyprium Mining (TSXV:CUG) has completed rehabilitation of shaft three of its Potosi silver mine in Santa Eulalia, Mexico. The S&P/TSX Composite index (INDEXTSI:OSPTX) was on the rise last week, gaining 2.59 percent to reach 14,105.23 points. The exchange rose on Friday despite a dip in oil prices. According to the Globe and Mail, several major banks reported better-than-expected earnings, even though they called for further losses on lower oil prices going forward. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe warned his Group of Seven counterparts today that the world may on the brink of a global financial crisis on the scale of Lehman Brothers. Gold prices fell again this week, losing 2.57 percent to trade at $1,214 per ounce as of 12:50 p.m. EST on Friday.  According to the Wall Street Journal, gold was on track to drop for the eighth session in a row on Friday, as save haven demand was tempered by further evidence of a US economic recovery.
